1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy, he gave us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, into an inheritance that is undying, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. Through faith, you are being protected by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed at the end of time.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are our holy God, and on our own, our sinful nature keeps us from coming near you. Sin is a barrier that keeps us from you; we were born dead in sin. But through your mercy, you had established a plan of salvation that would remove our sin and restore us to you. You sent your Son, our Savior. Jesus carried all our sins to the cross with him, then gave us his life to defeat the Devil. Jesus then rose victoriously from the grave, so we have the assurance that you have accepted his payment over death. Through Jesus’ resurrection, we have been adopted as your sons and daughters, with the promise of heaven that will never go away if it is kept by faith. We receive this gift through faith by your Holy Spirit. For all this, we should daily bless your name. This was your plan from creation; everything that was done was all your work for our redemption. Thank you and bless you, our heavenly Father. Amen.

God’s plan required a lot of divine intervention, including his Son to die, let’s not take it for granted. May God give us the insight to repent when we do. And bless the Lord for all the great things he has done. To God be the glory!
