2 Timothy 4:18

The Lord will rescue me from every evil work and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You watch over all your believers rescuing us from all of Satan’s evil attempts to overcome us. Every time he attacks us, we only need to turn to you for our safety, and you are there. Satan’s attacks and temptations can seem drawn out and relentless. But we have to remember this life is only a short period compared to the eternity we will have with you forever. While we may feel all alone at times, we have to remember you have sent us your Son and the Holy Spirit as our helpers to carry us along this journey. Your Son came to this world to redeem us from eternal death and the devil. He took all our sin to the cross for us, then gave up his life to defeat death. He rose from the grave, so we too will rise. You also have sent us the Holy Spirit, a helper we too often forget about. The Holy Spirit removes our sins because of what Christ has done; he creates faith in our hearts that we not only know you but we also believe and trust what you have done for us. Then when we do not know what to say to you, he intercedes for us. With Jesus and the Holy Spirit by our sides, we can be confident knowing you will rescue us from Satan’s every evil work. Bring us safely to our heavenly home. Amen.

When you consider all the Lord has invested in each one of us, you realize all the heavenly bubble wrap he has put around you. The attacks may come, but as long as you stay in Christ, you are protected.
