2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Dear Heavenly Father,

It is impressive that you would love us, people. Nothing in us deserves to be blessed with your love, and despite who we are, still, you love us. You sent your Son to this world so that he could take on human flesh and become our brother. He lived perfectly then credited us with His righteousness. Then he took the punishment of the world’s sins with him to the cross. Nothing in us was deserving of this, but despite this, he did it because it was necessary for us. Through your love, you accepted his payment of our sins; the proof lay in the empty tomb of Easter morning. But none of this would mean anything to us if it were not for your Holy Spirit who brings us into fellowship with you through faith. Through the means of grace, he creates faith in our hearts to receive the love, blessings, and grace you have given to us. Through the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we realize the affliction of our sins and your love for us to remove those sins for Jesus’ sake. Lord, thank you for loving us, the unlovable. Amen.
