Psalm 32:10-11
Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but mercy will surround those who trust in the Lord. Rejoice in the Lord and celebrate, all you righteous, and shout joyfully, all you upright in heart.
Dear Heavenly Father,
As you are well aware, this earth lacks no sorrows, trials, or troubles; they seem to visit me regularly. However, Lord, I have you. Through the faith your Spirit established in me, I trust in your mercy—knowing that I will not receive what my sins deserve. Because of my sin, I should suffer eternally, but you sent your Son to redeem me. Therefore, I have the assurance I have been made right with you. Through his holy life and innocent death, I have forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. Nothing in the world can remove this promise and hope from me because it was already won for me by my Savior. I am redeemed and restored as your child and heir of the kingdom of heaven. So, all who believe and are upright in heart have plenty of reason to celebrate and shout joyfully. Thank you for surrounding me with your mercy. Amen.
