Colossians 1:11-14

You are being strengthened with all power because of his glorious might working in you. Then you will have complete endurance and patience, joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. The Father rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for sending to us your Holy Spirit, who has established faith in us. Because He has created our trust in you, we recognize our horrible state as sinners and realize our need for a Savior. Through faith, we know that Jesus died and removed all our sins forever. As we continue to grow in our faith, sanctify us through your truth, allow us to grow in patience, love, and understanding for others. Let the light of your gospel truth shine through us for others to see. Give us opportunities to testify about the love you have given to us, how you have pulled us from the darkness of this sinful world into the light of your kingdom. We now have the confident hope of everlasting life and salvation that come only through you. Because Jesus died for our sins, salvation is ours; he has redeemed us. Lord, thank you for loving us so much that you were willing to send Jesus to restore us to you and sending your Spirit to us to believe these truths. Amen.
