Psalm 119:130
The doorway to your words lets in light. It gives understanding to the inexperienced.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your word allows the light to come into our lives. We live in a sin-darkened world filled with pain, grief, trouble, and sickness. Without the light, we are entirely lost, wandering about in the darkness. But your word, when it is opened, brings us light, along with hope and salvation. You recorded the promise of a Savior to come in the Old Testament and fulfilled this promise in the New Testament through your Son, Jesus. We have understanding in your word, knowing that Jesus credited us with his holy life and then took all our sins to the cross with him. Through him, all our sin and guilt have been removed. We now see the light because of faith the Holy Spirit has created in us through your word. Through the open hands of faith, we receive the gift of forgiveness and are restored back to you you. Thank you for shedding your light in our lives. Amen
