Acts 4:11-12
“This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.”
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for giving us your Son as the rock of perfection, which became the cornerstone of your church; he is our rock and our redeemer. All the world was dead in their sins and trespasses with no other way out, and Jesus brought us life. Here is the incredible turn of events because the builders—the teachers and lawyers of the church—rejected Him. They had Him nailed to a cross, and Jesus’ death restored life. While those church leaders intended to get rid of Jesus, you used their hatred to bring life into this world. Jesus was the perfect stone for the foundation of your church. He lived his life keeping all the demands of your law, and he credited us with his perfection. Then being without sin, Jesus went to the cross and took all our sins upon himself. His suffering and death paid the price for the world’s sins, but believers receive Jesus’ gift through faith alone. As Luke wrote, there is no other way in which we might be saved. Christ is the answer! Whoever believes in him will have eternal life. Lord, thank you for sending your Son in our place that we may be saved and have life. Amen.

“Jesus is the cornerstone, came for sinners to atone. Though rejected by his own, He became the cornerstone. Jesus is the cornerstone. When I am by sin oppressed, on the stone, I am at rest. When the seeds of truth are sown, He remains the cornerstone, Jesus is the cornerstone!” by Larnelle Harris.
