1 Corinthians 1:22-25
Yes, Jews ask for signs, Greeks desire wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified—which is offensive to Jews and foolishness to Greeks, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. We preach Christ crucified, because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Things do not change very much; some stumble trying to find signs of the end of times, and others take man’s theories and claim them as facts. They try to explain away the Bible, the miracles, the events, and even Jesus’ death and resurrection. Thank you for giving us your word so that we know the truth, the power of Christ, and your wisdom. Heavenly Father, let us put our hope and our trust entirely in you; let this be our anchor of truth that holds us fast to these facts. We were dead in our trespasses and sins because of sin in the world; our Savior, Jesus, came here to die on the cross for all our sins. His suffering and death paid the penalty for our sins, and eternal life is won. This was all part of your plan to save us, which was the only way you could obtain salvation for your creation. As Paul said, “your foolishness is wiser than our wisdom, and your weakness is stronger than men.” No matter what may come our way, we can be confident that you have it well under control. Amen.

Hold God’s words close to you, and lean on his understanding in all that you do. Incredibly, God is far superior to anything we will face.
