Numbers 6:24-26

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. The Lord look on you with favor and give you peace.

Dear Lord God,

It is only through you as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are we truly blessed. Through you, the Father, you bless us by sustaining and keeping us. You richly provide for our daily needs, giving us all that we need both physically and spiritually—knowing and anticipating our every need even before we ask. When our first parents fell into sin, you had a plan of salvation ready for us—you sent your Son to redeem us from all our sins. Lord, as the Son, you have your face shine upon us, and your grace richly covers all our sins. Lord, Jesus, you came to earth as part of the plan to save us. You willingly came to this earth, became part of your creation so that you could perfectly live under the law for us. This world fell into sin, and for us, there was no way out. You are a just God and demand perfection from us, but we fall short because of our sinful nature. Jesus, you have redeemed us with your holy, precious blood and your innocent suffering and death. All our sins and guilt have been paid for and removed by you. Lord, as the Holy Spirit, you continue to look on us with favor and give us the gift of faith to believe in Jesus’ forgiveness. This brings us your peace. We have the peace of forgiveness, the joy of salvation, and the certainty of eternal life. This is what you have given us. Thank you for marking us as your redeemed children and heirs. Amen.
