Revelation 7:9-10
After these things, I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing in front of the throne and of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and with palm branches in their hands. They called out with a loud voice and said: Salvation comes from our God, who sits on the throne, and from the Lamb.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for the forgiveness you have won for your saints. As John saw, they are from every nation, tribe, people, and language. It is all those who had faith in you, those you covered in your robes of righteousness. The world does not know you, and so many people are lost because of their unbelief, but for those who not only know you but trust and believe in you, there is eternal life. They are standing in John’s vision. He saw us and all the saints—who are already in heaven—standing before your throne. What joy it brings, knowing all will be reunited in heaven. What a peace it brings knowing your faithful followers are already there waiting on us. Today we celebrate All Saints Day. It is a celebration of the victory of those asleep in the grave, but their souls are with you. Lord, it was you who removed the sins that separated us from the Father, and it was the Holy Spirit that created the faith in our hearts to believe our sins are removed. We can only reach heaven through you. However, many more souls wander this world; they have not heard of your love, joy, hope, and peace; or have and have turned away from you. Give me the opportunity today to share with them the love you have, that their sins are forgiven, their guilt has been removed, and heaven is their home. So they will stand with all the saints at your throne singing the saint’s song. “Salvation comes from our God, who sits on the throne, and from the Lamb.” Amen.

This is the peace of victory that came from Jesus: Our temporal death is our final victory. Heaven is our home.
