Romans 8:28
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this reminder that you work things out for our good. Because as we are going through life’s struggles sometimes, we may wonder, “how can this be for my good?” Or my loved one’s good? But for all who are called for your purpose, we have to remember that you never let us go no matter what we might be going through. When you sent your Son to us, all might have seemed lost for his ministry from an outside perspective. He was beaten, mocked, ridiculed, whipped, and then hung on a tree to die, but Jesus willingly went through all that to suffer and die for our sins. You used his suffering and death for our good. He suffered the punishment and the death that should be ours so that we will never be separated from you; he restored us to your good favor. We receive this gift by faith in Jesus and all he has done to grant us forgiveness of sins. Just as you worked Jesus’ innocent suffering and death for our favor, you will work all things together for our good. We may suffer sickness, disease, ridicule, and loss, but in all these things through faith, we will one day be in heaven. Where we will never face any of this suffering again, and while we are still on this earth, we have to remember that no matter what we go through, you are with us all the way. Amen.

When we face problems in our lives, an excellent way to work through them is this: “Our Father, who art in heaven!” Turn it over to God; he already knows what you are going through.
