1 Corinthians 1:22-25
Yes, Jews ask for signs, Greeks desire wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified—which is offensive to Jews and foolishness to Greeks, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. We preach Christ crucified because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for giving us your word; while your word does not make sense to those who don’t know you, it is the truth about you and your salvational plan. Why would anyone intentionally die to save someone else? Why would someone die to save me? Lord, I have to admit when things are not going my way, I can be like those Jews who desired signs, wanting you to prove your love to me. So please give me the strength to know, trust, and believe you and your word. You gave the world Jonah’s sign; you went to the cross and were in the grave for three days like Jonah was in the belly of the fish. So there you forgave the sins of the world becoming sin for us, this might sound like foolishness to some, but it was all part of your plan to save us.
Lord, you are wiser than us. Through your plan of salvation, you redeemed us from death and our sin by defying the grave. No simple human could do any of what you have done. Because you rose from the dead, we can place all our hope in you; that was a spectacular sign. What others might call foolish, you dying on the cross for our sin was brilliant once for all people. Thank you for what you have done for us, and send your Holy Spirit that we will preach about your crucifixion to others. Please grant us opportunities to share your wisdom today. Amen.

Since Jesus is wiser and stronger than men, take your problems to him. Listen to his wisdom, and allow him to do the heavy lifting with your concerns; he has already forgiven your sins.
