1 John 3:1
See the kind of love the Father has given us that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are! The world does not know us, because it did not know him.
Dear Lord Jesus,
You came to this world due to the Father’s love for us. When we were unlovable and your enemy, we should have received the Father’s wrath and punished for eternity in hell. But we weren’t punished; instead, you took his wrath and punishment. You came to this earth to live the perfect life and die an innocent death. We received your forgiveness; your death removed all our sins and restored us to the Father’s righteousness and all that comes to us through faith in you. We are now his children. It is through faith we receive these gifts you have won for us.
Sadly, the world rejects these gifts; they are there for them, but they sit in the corner abandoned their owners refuse to claim them. All because they do not know you. So, they miss out on the forgiveness of sins, Salvation, and eternal life. Grant each of us opportunities to share these incredible gifts with those who have left them in the corner that they might come to know you and the Father. May your Holy Spirit work in their hearts that they too would trust you and receive those gifts that you have won for us all. Amen.
