1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for letting us see clearly what the message of the cross means. We cannot get to the glory of heaven without going through the cross. So many people want that best life now, they want no suffering or troubles; whatever is shiny to them here, and now they chase and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. And they ask, “Why would we want any suffering or trust in some guy who died on a cross?”
Because that guy who died on the cross was no ordinary guy, he was your Son; Jesus suffered to make a full payment for all our sins. It is through faith we receive your gift and are restored to you. People will reject faith because they feel it couldn’t be that simple, “I have to do something to make up for what I have done.” But that cross was your torture tool to pay for the world’s sins. Your power was there in Jesus’ suffering and death that he redeemed us through his blood. So Jesus gave his life up only to take it up again three days later in His resurrection; so that whoever would believe would also receive their crown of glory through the cross.
Lord, many think the message of the cross is foolishness, and you tell us they will perish if they do not hear the truth. We pray that you would create opportunities to build relationships with others so that we can share the cross’ message with them. Amen.

Jesus’ blood and forgiveness cover all our sins; that is powerful because there is nothing else that can remove sins’ stains.
