Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I am now living in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Dear Lord Jesus,
What you have given to us so that we would be able to call heaven our home was no small or insignificant thing; it was your life. Please forgive me when my sin gets the upper hand and I allow my sinful desires to have their way. When we came to faith, it was no longer just about myself doing whatever I desired; instead, you live in us. You gave our dead souls life. The Holy Spirit began and sustained faith through your word and sacraments, and my life now is lived with you. This change is no small thing; faith changes my heart, and I live to serve you while serving others. You took our sins to the cross with you, nailing them to that tree when you were crucified, and we have been freed. It is no longer just my life. You paid our freedom’s price, paying in your blood. This freedom removes our sin, guilt, and shame, restoring us to God the Father. Being forgiven, we have been given eternal life. So when this life ends for the believer, we will have no more pain and no more sorrow; only joy, peace, and true life. Forgive us when we are tempted into sin, and strengthen us to live by faith and serve you, our friend, brother, and Savior. Amen.

Christ living in us means we can have the confidence to go and share his good news of forgiveness with others. Everything we do, we do by faith because Jesus has redeemed us, and salvation is ours. We live for the one who loved us so much he died for us.
