John 10:11
[Jesus said] “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for being our Good Shepherd. You take care of all our needs, both spiritual and physical. You demonstrated your love for us by dying on the cross when we were lost in our sins. We pray for your protection for all we do in life. Please lead us today so that we will have green pastures and still water. When we start to wander off, bring us back to safe fields. Being our Good Shepherd, we can be confident of your protection from whatever might come our way. You already gave your life for our sins to redeem us from death. Please let us hear your voice and follow you today and every day. We pray for those around us who are not part of your flock that we could share your word with them, and they will come to recognize you as their good shepherd. Please send out your under-shepherds to reach all the lost sheep. Amen.
