Malachi 2:10
Don’t we all have one Father? Hasn’t one God created us?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for creating and sustaining us. Equality seems to be something the world cherishes, and we are all equal in you because you have forgiven us. While you did not make us sinful, we are now all equal in our iniquities because our first parents sinned. We all come into this world being under the curse of our sins. David wrote, “surely I was brought forth in iniquity in sin did my mother conceive me.” At the time of Noah, “The Lord (you) saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth and that all the thoughts and plans they formed in their hearts were only evil every day.” Paul wrote in Roman, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” There are many more passages that your Holy Spirit has given us that speak about our sinful nature, and we are all equal in this. Sin came into your perfect creation and separated us from you. You could have annihilated humanity and started over, but you didn’t. Instead, you sent your Son to save us—he lived the perfect life and died an innocent death in our place. You demonstrated your love and mercy for all mankind that you would place the punishment of our sins upon Jesus. He went to the cross and suffered for our sins, for my sins. They were all taken into himself so that by his wounds, we are healed, just as Isaiah wrote. We are blessed to have you as our Father, creator, and sustainer; thank you for not giving up on us but loving us despite our sinful nature that you sent Jesus. We are all forgiven equally, for Jesus’ sake.
It is by faith we receive this gift. You also sent us your Spirit so that we would believe all that Jesus has done. Through faith, one knows, trusts, and believes that their sins are forgiven, and salvation is theirs. Your mercy comes to all equally, but many reject this gift and remain separated from you in sin. So we pray: that through your Word, the Spirit will work in the hearts of those who reject you so they, too, will know you are their Father and creator. Strengthen the faith of all who hear and read your Word. Amen

We all have been created equal, yet we all have different gifts and abilities to help one another out of love. Love one another as God has loved you—he forgave you all your sins for His Son’s sake.
