Psalm 34:19

Many are the troubles of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You know all that is happening in our lives, all the troubles, challenges, and sins we face daily. Everything might be going fine; then it seems like life comes at us, and in those situations, we have nowhere to turn but to you. You have reminded us through your Word that you do not always stop problems from coming our way but limit them. Just like with Job, you restricted what Satan could do to him, and you do the same for us. So, we shudder to think how horrible things would be without you limiting evil.

You know all our troubles, and they are not hidden from you. Everyone faces challenges and sins, both believers and unbelievers. David was also familiar with problems. He was hunted by Saul, fell from your grace in his sins with Bathsheba, and hunted by his sons, but in every situation, you delivered David, and he reminds us you will deliver the righteous. You carried us from an even more significant problem than anything we face in this world, and like David, it was our sins. Jesus came here to die on the cross for David’s and all our sins. So that Jesus has forgiven every, not one is left. Those made right with you by trusting and believing in Jesus, you have delivered them from all their sins. So through faith, we have the promise of eternal life and are saved from being condemned for our sins. We thank you for restoring us—making us right—to your favor through faith in Jesus. So we are the righteous ones.

We pray that you would make opportunities for us to share the good news of your deliverance from sin and death. So out of love for you and what Jesus has done for us, we can share this good news with someone who does not know you. So that they, too, will be delivered from all their troubles and have everlasting life. Amen.

By faith, we trust Jesus has died for all our sins; through faith, we have become a part of God’s kingdom. Since we are his, we are confident that God will shield and deliver us from all our troubles.
