Ephesians 2:19-22
So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household. You have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the Cornerstone. In him, the whole building is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him, you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for making us part of your family; through faith, you are our brother; we are now saints because of your grace and mercy. The prophets and apostles taught and wrote about the foundation of our beliefs. The prophets all pointed to the promise of your coming, and the apostles recorded how you fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies. We are no longer alone, separated because of our sins; you suffered and died on the cross for all our sins and have restored us to the love of the Father. We are all united in peace because of the forgiveness of sins you paid for us, and the hope of eternal life is ours because you defeated death. Likewise, we are raised with you to eternal life through your resurrection. You are the Cornerstone of our faith, and as the body of believers, we are joined together with you. We ask that your Spirit live within us today and every day. Lord, please use us to share the hope of heaven you have given to us with others, so they will come to know you are their Cornerstone through each of us. Lord, grant us opportunities to spread the good news of what you have done for us. Amen.

Being part of God’s household, we are joined together with Christ; our faith is anchored to God’s word, not personal opinion.
