Romans 3:21-24
But now, completely apart from the law, a righteousness from God has been made known. The Law and the Prophets testify to it. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all and over all who believe. In fact, there is no difference, because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for making your righteousness known to us. You gave us your law in your word, which shows us our every sin. It tells us we are to love you more than we love ourselves and others as we love ourselves. However, we miss the mark every time; we place ourselves first, satisfying our own desires, and our love fails. The punishment for our loveless ways is to be separated from you and condemned forever. You tell us in your word that the wage of sin is death.
However, you sent us your Son, who has loved you above all other things with perfect, unfailing love. He did your will by loving us—his enemies. He gave his life up for us when he willingly went to the cross to suffer the punishment we deserved. So all who believe in him would have their sins removed and have eternal life. Jesus has covered us with his righteousness, so you now see us through Jesus’ perfection and holiness. As Paul wrote in Romans, we all fall short of your glory, but you justify us freely through your grace. Jesus redeemed all of us sinful humans, and his gift comes to us told in scripture alone that because of your grace alone, we have salvation and eternal life through faith alone in Jesus alone. Amen

Only by faith in Jesus’ saving work are your sins forgiven and you are saved. Jesus declared your forgiveness which he won on the cross when he said, “It is finished.” You are forgiven through your Savior.
