Romans 3:23-25

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God publicly displayed as the atonement seat through faith in his blood.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your grace and mercy, which you continuously shower upon us. Because all of us have sinned with our thoughts, words, and actions, not one of us is innocent, and as Paul wrote, our sins cause us to fall away from you and your glory. Understanding what our sins have done, we realize how unworthy we are as sinners; on our own, there is nothing good in us, but you did not let us remain there. We have been justified freely by Christ. Jesus has credited those who believe in him with his perfection and gave up his life to pay for all our sins. So that our sins have been washed away by his blood, and those sins which separated us from you are no longer there. We have been redeemed—bought back—by Jesus. Through our faith in Jesus, you see us as saints. Thank you for making all this possible through faith in our Savior’s blood. His blood was spilled to atone for all our sins. Lord, grant us opportunities to share this good news with others who do not have faith in Jesus so that they, too, would come to know him and believe in him that has redeemed them. Amen.

Jesus became a curse for you and was hung on the cursed tree suspended between earth and heaven. There he restored you to the Father by forgiving your debt of sin so that by faith in Jesus, you will have salvation and eternal life.
