Ephesians 2:17-19

He also came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household.

Dear Heavenly Father,

It is unbelievable that through faith, Jesus has made us not only citizens but members of your household. When I look at myself, I realize how undeserving I am for any fellowship with you because you are holy and perfect. Instead of throwing me out, you sent your Son, who has removed my sins and restored me to your peace through his death on the cross. Jesus brought the kingdom of heaven to this earth when he came and lived with us created beings, bringing me eternal life. I pray that through your will, you will make a new heart in me to believe in Jesus, so I know you restored me. As you look upon me today, please provide what I need to maintain both my physical and spiritual needs; so I hold fast to you in the truth of your word. As I go about my day, please grant me a forgiving spirit just as Jesus has forgiven everything I have done. Especially let me be kind to those I do not know because, through faith, they could become or are fellow citizens with me. Please keep me from being tempted to lash out at them when things don’t go my way, and forgive me when I fail at being kind. Instead, guide me by faith to remain in you and your word, so I can hold to you when temptation does come. Please let me remember that this world is yours, heaven is yours, and you have established forgiveness as the key to unlocking heaven for me. And faith in my Savior, Jesus, brings me to salvation and eternal life. So I ask for an opportunity to share this good news of eternal life—that came to me by faith—with another you have prepared to hear this good news. So that they, too, will have your peace and salvation that lasts forever and ever. Amen.

You are redeemed through faith in Jesus; this gift is all—inclusive for everyone but comes through faith. Therefore by faith, Jesus knows you, and you have God’s peace that comes through the complete forgiveness of all your sins.
