Romans 8:28

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for giving us these words of comfort; for those who are faithful to you, you work everything out for our good. We might think we know what we need and often tell you the result we want. However, you answer when we call according to what is best for our salvation. You demonstrated this by sending your Son to suffer for our sins in our place. Our sins should condemn us and take us from you forever, but Jesus came and lived a perfect life we cannot live, then he credited us with his perfection. He died on the cross in our place, so we are restored to you and have salvation and everlasting life. These gifts come to all by faith alone.

For your faithful, we have this promise when we deal with the challenges of our lives. We know you work everything out for our good. What you have promised is not an end to hard times and problems, but instead, knowing we can bring them all to you, and you will work them out for our good. We also hear the words you said to Paul when he struggled, “my grace is sufficient for you.” When we hear your word, we are confident that you will work all challenges out as is best for us, and you love us.

Strengthen us not to worry about whatever we are facing, and let us place them before you, knowing and trusting you will work out all things together for our good. Amen.
