Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I am now living in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Forgive me when I fail to remember what my salvation cost. It was no simple thing that you came to this earth and suffered on that cross for my sins. I was undeserving. As you went to that cross, you took the world’s sins upon yourself so that faith in you brings all believers the gift of salvation and eternal life.
Forgive me when I fail to live according to faith in you, and I forget that I, too, was crucified with you, and that does not give me a license to run amiss. You suffered the agony of hell in my place and gave up your life to defeat death for me. So that when this life is over, you will lead me home to heaven to be with you. I pray for your Spirit to be with me to strengthen my faith that I would humbly live as one who has been given the gift of everlasting life. Please be with me that I live today by faith, following your example, prepared to give myself to those around me, and pointing them to you. Because you loved me, and you love them and demonstrated your love by suffering hell for us all. Amen.

Living with Christ in you means—knowing that Jesus loved you so much that he willingly went to the cross to suffer and die for all your sins and, in his suffering and death, gained you eternal life and salvation—loving Jesus in return for all he has done.
