2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and in his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.
Dear Heavenly Father,
It is no secret that this world is challenging; sometimes, it seems as if there is trouble waiting for us around every corner. So we pray for your encouragement which you promised us through the Apostle Paul. So, please lift us according to your grace and mercy when we feel the world has just beaten us. Lord, according to your love, you sent your Son to carry and take all our sins and burdens, which he willingly did when he took them to the cross. We are undeserving of your love and grace, but in Jesus’ death and resurrection, we find the peace of forgiveness, which he carried out according to your plan of salvation. Be with us to keep our eyes fixed on your promise of salvation for all who believe in you. So that through faith in you, we will be encouraged to share the good news of your forgiveness with all who do not know you. So they, too, will be eternally encouraged by the excellent hope waiting for them. We cannot do this alone; we need you and your Spirit to be upon us. Guide and direct us towards the good work and word you have already established for us to do. Let us love those around us by our sharing hope with others. Amen.

Be encouraged by God because he carried out his plan of salvation so that you would have the forgiveness of sins unto salvation and bring you eternal life.
