Psalm 90:1-2
Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from eternity to eternity, you are God.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We find true comfort and peace in our dwelling place with you. We desire a place to call home with those we love around us. But those iconic family home scenes around the table are unrelatable for many people. We all live in this sinful world, with sinful people around us, and each wants what is best for themselves. Sin gets the better of us, and we chase after whatever our heart desires, even if that means hurting those close to us. Even for those who have experienced that peaceful scene, sin still raises its ugly head and causes discord.
We see the power of your hand in creation, and we are reminded that while our lives are but a moment, you will never be gone. Let us dwell and rest with you for the remainder of eternity. So we pray that you forgive us all our iniquities according to your love and mercy. By your grace, you sent your Son to suffer and die on the cross for all our sins; let us look towards him in faith, knowing he paid the price for all our sins. It is only by Jesus’ forgiveness for us that we are restored to you. Grant us peace of forgiveness so we no longer are burdened by our past mistakes and let go of the guilt and shame of our sins.
Out of love for what you have done for us—removing our sins and restoring us to you—let us share the good news of Jesus’ forgiveness with those who do not know you and suffer from the guilt of their sins. So they, too, will have the peace of being restored to you. Amen.

Through the Bible, God shares insight into who he is: all-powerful to create the world, all-knowing so none of what we do is hidden from him, and all-loving; the Father sent his Son to die for all your sins so you are restored to him.
