Proverbs 16:8-9
Better a little with righteousness than a large income without justice. A person’s heart plans his way, but the Lord makes his steps secure.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Let us trust you with all you give us to sustain ourselves. You have blessed us with different vocations to maintain and care for ourselves and our families. As our times change, people develop new and different ways to cheat and steal from others. You have given all we have as a gift, and we are to be your stewards. So we pray that you guard us against those who prey on the weak, forgive them, and turn them from their evil plans. Then keep us content with the resources you have given us to be stewards of everything that comes from you. Guide our plans that they would walk according to your will, and those things we do on this earth would not take away from your glory or dishonor you; let us receive your gifts in righteousness. We are your children because you sent your Son to be our Savior; he paid with his life on the cross the debt of our sin. Let us keep this always in the front of our minds that we would make our plans according to your holy will, and we would plan to share the good news of our forgiveness with those who do not know you; so that they, too, would know you secure their plans. More importantly, they know your Son, the Savior, for us all secured our salvation. Amen.

Wealth is a tool and blessing God gives you to sustain you in this life. It is a tool you use to get you to that last day when you leave this world and, by faith in Jesus, enjoy the endless comfort of heaven.
