Psalm 139:1-3

Lord, You have investigated me, and You know. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You understand my thoughts from far off. You keep track of when I travel and when I stay, and You are familiar with all my ways.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You know everything there is to know about us. You are not distant from us; way up in heaven, You know everything that happens around us. You are intimately close to every person; You know our every movement and activity, and when our minds wander to distant things, You know our every thought. There is nothing hidden from You. You know all our pain and suffering, so when this sinful world causes us trouble, You limit it for us.

Lord, You are familiar with all our ways; You know everyone who believes and trusts in You and all who don’t; You know everyone’s sinful ways. For this reason, You sent Your Son to intercede for us because of our sins. Our sins push us away from You and may make us feel distant from You, but Jesus’ death on the cross removes the world’s sins so that whoever believes in You will not perish but have everlasting life; the faithful are restored to You. You know our hearts, and we ask You to forgive us all our sins for Jesus’ sake. We are thankful that You know us so well; please give those who need comfort due to troubles, trials, or the loss of those close to them and provide them with reassurance that can only come through Jesus. Thank You for walking with them, and we pray that You will continue to be close to us today.

We pray that we might share with those who don’t know You nor Your intimate love, telling them how You know everything they do and that You have forgiven them through Your Son for all their sins. Let us share our assurance of everlasting life and our confidence in You with them so they, too, will believe and trust in You and have eternal life. Amen.

Nothing is hidden from God; he knows everything you say, think, and do. You cannot keep any sin from God, so admit what you have done and ask for forgiveness; this is the key that unlocks heaven to all who believe.
