1 Corinthians 10:13
No testing has overtaken you except ordinary testing. But God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tested beyond your ability, but when he tests you, he will also bring about the outcome that you are able to bear it.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Be with us when testing comes our way because it usually seems unpleasant, but when it becomes so tremendous, we must turn to you. Sometimes it seems there is no way we could survive without you, especially when dealing with the loss of family members, the breakup of a family, news of diseases, or catastrophic accidents, and when these situations come at us, they make us feel powerless and out of control. However, as Paul wrote, you remain faithful in all these situations. While you do not cause evil or chaos in our lives, you limit it so that it will not be more than what we can handle. While in the middle of those life storms, we might wonder if we will survive and make it to the other side. Through Paul, you promised us you would bring about the outcome we can bear.
You have already demonstrated your faithfulness by redeeming us of our sins. There was no way out for us, but you sent Jesus so that by believing in him, we have eternal life. If you have already taken care of our most significant spiritual difficulty, no other problem will be greater than that. So we can be confident through your word that you will sustain us in every situation.
We pray for those who are struggling today with their testing. Please give them comfort and relief that comes only through you. Lift them up according to your will, and reassure them you are with them today. Amen.
