John 6: 66 – 68
After this, many of his disciples turned back and were not walking with him anymore. So Jesus asked the Twelve, “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Dear Lord Jesus,
To whom shall we go? There is nothing else in the world that gives the gift of eternal life, only your words. Strengthen our faith that we continually focus on the love and forgiveness you have won for us on the cross. Moreover, while we may not understand while others do not comprehend being saved by faith or your mercy, we pray that their hearts would be softened to know you, especially as many actively pursue and persecute your church in Pakistan and other areas around the world.
Your word gives us the truth of salvation. We pray for empathy to understand why the world hates you and your followers so we can address their reservations and fear of knowing you. Please give us the words to tell them about the truth of your love and forgiveness. Allow us to impart your words upon them not in judgment but to show them where they stand with their sins so they would see and know their need for you—their Savior. So that as they hear the good news about how you paid the price for all their sins, your Holy Spirit will spark faith in their hearts.
So we ask this today: First, knowing the love you have for us, that you suffered the cross for all our sins, and how you paid our ransom price, we ask for you to send us your Holy Spirit to guard and keep our faith so we remain firmly trusting you. Second, we ask you to instill in us the words to share with those who do not know your love and forgiveness so that we can reveal to them about you and your love, no matter how combative the world might be towards us and you. Finally, protect all who carry the good news about salvation to the world so that your word can go out in every direction. But should your followers lose all they have or die for sharing your gospel message, we ask you to greet them in heaven with the assurance of eternal life. Amen.

Spiritual powers are at work, hostile toward God and all his followers. There is a battle ongoing all around us; however, know and trust this: by faith in Jesus, you have eternal life, and once in heaven, none of those powers can ever touch you again.
