Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, a helper who can always be found in times of trouble. That is why we will not fear when the earth dissolves and when the mountains tumble into the heart of the sea. Its waters roar and foam. The mountains quake when it rises.

Dear Heavenly Father,

It is no secret we live in turbulent times; often, attacks come against us, your followers, from every direction. Whenever the world comes after us, we go to you, and you provide us a refuge. There will also come a time when this world as we know it will end. So, we ask that you not let us become fixated at the end of time but instead continue focused on you and go about our days just as we have every day before. We ask that you lead us and strengthen our faith so we remain in you and trust in your Son.

Jesus suffered upon the cross for all our sins so that by faith, we know with sure confidence that our sins are removed forever and that by believing in Jesus, we have nothing to fear. Because should our lives come to their conclusion or you bring the end of the world, we know we are restored to you through Jesus. Jesus suffered the punishment for our sins that those who believe in you have eternal life through faith in him.

Let us not worry about what is happening in the world, but rather share the good news about your salvation with those in our lives. So when their time of grace is complete, you will also be their comfort and peace, bringing them home to heaven with you. Amen

The world can make a lot of commotion to get your focus turned away from God. So should the world’s end come, so be it; maintain your course focused on Jesus and let all the commotion go on around you, knowing you have peace with the Father for Jesus’ sake.
