1 Timothy 6:6-8
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly cannot take anything out. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be satisfied.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for providing everything we need to sustain ourselves: food to eat, water to drink, and air to breathe; let us be content having all these blessings from You. Please guide us to have a strong faith in Your Son, our Lord and Savior, that we will be content with all the gifts You have given us. We especially thank You for Your plan of salvation, which has restored us to Your good favor; we only find true contentment when we know the forgiveness Jesus won on the cross. All that we have You have given to us; we indeed brought nothing into the world. And we will leave this world with nothing; however, where we go after this world is based upon faith. For all who reject you they will leave this world and have nothing; they will be separated even from the goodwill they now receive from you, suffering an eternal torment completely divided from you. On the other hand, all who believe in you and hold to you in faith will receive your grace and blessing. Guide us through your Holy Spirit, then to be content and give thanks in every situation we are in, knowing this life is not the best it will be, but the better life awaits us in heaven. May our godliness with contentment be our ministry to those who do not know You so that we can minister to them through our actions. Amen.

Give thanks to God in every situation. Because every occasion we have been given comes from God, and each one guides us closer to being with Him in Heaven.
