Romans 3:21-24
But now, completely apart from the law, a righteousness from God has been made known. The Law and the Prophets testify to it. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all and over all who believe. In fact, there is no difference, because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Be with us now in our frustrations with what is happening worldwide. All the strife that we hear about in the news, along with our busy schedules, appointments, and deadlines, all those frustrations can build up and cause us to treat others horribly. No matter the excuse, we can be loveless, which means we have broken your law by not loving you above all other things and others as we love ourselves. You know our sins, so please forgive us, for Jesus’ sake!
Lord, the words before us give us such great comfort because being restored to you does not come from our efforts but through faith by knowing your Son. Everyone is guilty of sinning; our consciences know this. Jesus came to suffer for all the world’s sins, and more specifically, he paid the punishment for all my sins. So when I believe and trust in his salvific work, I am restored to you. So to us, your body of believers, please send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen our faith so that we can cling to Your Son, our Savior, no matter what is happening in the world.
The good news is this: forgiveness restores us to you, and we receive that by faith alone, trusting in Jesus. Should this life come to a sudden end, we will have our next moments in eternity living with you forever. Let us not keep this good news to ourselves, but grant us opportunities to share your grace with those who do not know you; that they will also trust in Jesus and receive eternal life and salvation through faith in him. Amen.

Salvation comes to all equally without any merit on our part. It comes to each believer through faith in Jesus, knowing he has forgiven their sins. So that knowing their sins are forgiven, they have salvation and eternal life.
