Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we should pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that are not expressed in words.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending us Your Holy Spirit. When this world comes after us from every direction, we sometimes have no idea where to begin with our prayers. What do I ask? Should I ask to overcome this problem, to have the strength to move it out of the way, ask You to take whatever away, have the patience to sit in Your love, or all the above? We are left in the unknown of where to begin.
Then, there are those times when things don’t feel right. We are unsure about what is lurking in the dark around us; we don’t see any problems, but something seems amiss; we don’t know what it is, but we know we need You, so we pray.
We are thankful that Your Spirit knows our every thought and every need, even when we don’t know. We can lay out our concerns and ask the Spirit to pray according to what we need, according to Your will, and for our salvation. Regardless of the world’s problems coming against us, we consider that You limit these trials no matter how bad things seem.
We are also reminded of Paul’s words, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness.” Our ultimate weakness is our sin, and the Spirit has brought us faith in our Savior, Jesus, who suffered and died so that whoever believes would have everlasting life.
Through Faith in Jesus, the hardships of the world will one day be done, and we will be home with You forever; sickness, death, hate, and wars will all be a thing of the past that will never again cause us to suffer. Because Jesus has removed our sins and restored us to You, and it is faith the Spirit begins in us that makes all that reality. So we ask that Your Spirit strengthen our faith so we cling to Christ.
We pray that Your Spirit will intercede for our friends, neighbors, and family members who do not yet know You. Especially when we do not know what they need, we ask Your Spirit to intercede on their part and do whatever it takes to crush their unbelief so they will know You and Your Son. May Your Spirit begin a spark of faith in their hearts so they will have eternal life. Amen.

No one likes to admit their weaknesses, but God already knows yours. He has removed your greatest fault sin so that you have eternal life and salvation through His Son, Jesus.
