Ephesians 2:17-22
He also came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him, we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household. You have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the Cornerstone. In him, the whole building is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him, you, too, are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for not leaving us to suffer hell’s condemnation for all our sins. You came into our world to preach and teach us about Your love and mercy. It was because of our sins we should have suffered for eternity. However, You want everyone to know and trust in You so they will be saved.
You made us a part of Your heavenly family and kingdom through Your suffering and death. Through You, we have access to our heavenly Father and can bring our petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving to him through You by the Holy Spirit. Because of Your innocent death, the sins that blocked us are removed, and we are united in the spirit.
The message of the apostles and prophets was the forgiveness of sins. The apostles demonstrated how you fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies from the prophets who pointed forward to your coming—as the world’s Savior. In Your coming, we were redeemed of all our sins and restored to You, our God. We are all brought together, united in peace, because our sins are forgiven. You paid the eternal price for us; in forgiveness is the hope of eternal life because You defeated death. All who believe in You will be raised with You at Your second coming, and we will make up Your heavenly kingdom.
We ask that Your Spirit live within us today and every day; through each of us, we can share our hope of heaven with others. Lord, let us spread the good news of what You have done for us. Amen.

Believers are all a part of God’s household; we are joined together through and with Christ; this is not a matter of opinion but the truth given to us in God’s word.
