Time for Grace-January 16, 2024

Romans 10:14-17

So then, how can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one about whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news of peace, who preach the gospel of good things!” But not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who believed our message?” So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through the word of Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please send out workers to share the gospel of forgiveness, to send the peace of knowing each person is restored to You through faith. We are all held accountable for everything we think, say, and do. Each sin condemns us to eternal punishment. We cannot work off our punishment or be better the next day, nor compare ourselves to others saying, “Well, at least I am better than them.” Everyone is guilty of their sins; they divide us from You.

The good news of the gospel is the love You have for us; You did not leave us in our state of condemnation but established a plan of salvation for all people. Your Son took our sins into Himself to endure all people’s punishment so that forgiveness is available to all who believe in him. The good news is those sins that separated us from you are removed, and we are restored to you.

So please call and send workers out into the world to share the good news of Your salvational plan. Not everyone will receive this message, but we pray that Your Holy Spirit can change their hearts so they will hear and believe. What a wonderful message of peace and forgiveness that restores and brings salvation and eternal life to all of us who have no other way out than through faith in Your Son. Amen.

Now hear this! Jesus died on the cross to pay for all your sins so that by believing in Him, you are forgiven, and eternal life is yours through faith alone.
