Hebrews 4:14-16
Therefore, since we have a great high priest, who has gone through the heavens, namely, Jesus the Son of God, let us continue to hold on to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet was without sin. So let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are not distant from us. You did not create the world only to sit back, demanding we obey your commands and send us to hell if we failed. Instead, You know every weakness we face because You walked the earth and experienced our temptations, but You did not sin. You innocently suffered and died on the cross.
You are our adversary in heaven. After you suffered our punishment upon the cross, the temple curtain that closed off the most holy place was torn from top to bottom. You removed every barrier that kept us from the heavenly Father. You suffered the separation from the Father on the cross for all our sins, then gave up Your life to defeat death for us.
All this was according to the salvational plan to restore us to You. Because sin is removed, we can confidently approach the Father through You, our Lord and Savior. Knowing that You are our adversary before the Father, we can now confidently come before Him.
We pray for opportunities to share Your mercy and grace with those who do not yet know You. We pray that through Your word, faith will begin in them so they know You are in heaven supporting them as their advocate and friend. Amen.

Jesus did not suffer and die on the cross to pay for all your sins, only to abandon you in this life. He promises to be with you throughout your life. He is always with you; know and trust this by faith in Him.
