Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, the one who is, and who was, and who is coming, the Almighty.
Applying God’s Word for today: God’s presence through Life’s Challenges
No one is immune to struggles or hardships. Even though some people may seem to glide through their days untouched by trouble, the truth is that everyone lives in a sinful world and faces difficulties. Whether it’s a broken car, a leaking roof, sick children, or a faulty furnace, these moments can lead us to ask, “Where is God?” The answer is comforting: He is right beside us in every situation.
Much like a parent helping a child learn to ride a bike, God stays close and ensures we are equipped to face life’s challenges. Just as parents provide helmets, pads, and gloves to protect their children, God equips us with spiritual protection—His love, grace, and mercy—to reduce the hardships that could overwhelm us. Our ability to maintain balance in life is like the faith given to us by the Holy Spirit. This faith grows stronger as we spend time in God’s Word, reminding us that He has been present from the beginning and will remain until the end.
But what does it mean that Jesus is with us today? Living in a sinful world means that, on our own, we should be condemned. Yet, Jesus bore the punishment for our sins when He died on the cross. In His resurrection, we are confident of His forgiveness, and all this happened before we even came into existence. He is with us now, guiding us through faith to navigate this life—even allowing us to stumble at times. When pride or doubt causes us to fall, Jesus has already forgiven us. God, the Almighty, who created the world, remains with us until its end. He has restored us, giving us confidence in our salvation and eternal life.
Dear Lord, thank you for being beside us as we navigate life’s journey. When we fall, help us remember that you are with us. In desperate times, let us depend on you, knowing you are always there. Protect us with your love and strengthen our faith as we read and study your Word.
Strengthen your faith through God’s Word because we all face challenges in life, but through faith in Jesus, we can trust that God is always by our side, and He promises to remain with us forever; so, you are never alone.
