Time for Grace – March 26, 2026

2 Corinthians 12:9

And he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, because my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will be glad to boast all the more in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may shelter me.

Applying God’s Word for today: When we are weak, God’s grace is perfect

Nobody likes feeling vulnerable and weak. However, in life, many things can make us feel exactly that—exposed: problems with money, our homes, vehicles, relationships with loved ones and neighbors, a virus, an illness, or some other doctor’s prognosis; the list goes on. Life is real. Seeing and feeling these challenges approaching, and knowing there’s nothing you can do to change their course, is frightening.

However, it is precisely in these situations—when you have nowhere else to turn—that we must turn to God. This was Paul’s situation: he had some thorn in his flesh, what we don’t know, but when he asked God three times to remove it, God responded with these words: “My grace is sufficient for you.” It is the same for us. God stands by, desiring and wanting us to come to Him in every situation. Sometimes, He allows those things to become more incredible so that we have no place else to go but to Him.

His grace is sufficient; realize that a more urgent problem we often overlook was looming over us—our sins. In our sins, there was nothing we could do about it; they condemned us to eternal death, but in God’s grace and mercy, He sent His only begotten Son to suffer on the cross our punishment in our place, and then gave us Jesus’ righteousness instead. So that, by faith, all who turn to Him have salvation and eternal life.

If God can free us from sin’s bondage, He can surely unbind anything else that makes us feel weak. He stands ready, waiting eagerly for you to turn to Him. His grace is sufficient for you, just as it was for Paul. Therefore, when we are weak, we are like Paul; we share our struggles with God and then boast in our weakness, knowing that God has already overcome for us.

Dear Heavenly Father, You have promised to be with us and to meet all our needs. We thank You for today’s challenges, and we eagerly await to see Christ’s power, trusting that Your grace is sufficient for us and that You will care for us in what’s best for our faith and salvation. Amen.

Know that God loves you completely and is always with you, even when the problems of this world seem impossible to overcome. God’s grace is full and perfect for you in every situation; the problem is not with God but with us when we only focus on the problem.
