Psalm 56:3-4
On the day when I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, I praise his word. In God, I trust. I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

Dear Heavenly Father,

You bring us comfort every day, but especially when there are extra-ordinary trials that cause us distress. When we have fears of the things in the world, we trust you have everything under control. Knowing that all the universe is in your hands, we can trust you, who created the world; our problems seem to be trivial. You have restored us from the more significant problem—sin in our lives. This happened when you sent your Son here to take all our sins with himself to the cross, then he defeated death by dying and rising. If you were willing to do that for us, we are assured of your love and the extraordinary measures you have already taken to keep us safe. We have nothing to fear. Lord, you are vaster than any problem that this Earth or other people can bring our way. We rejoice in the mercy you have already demonstrated to us through your Son. Amen.
