Romans 8:26

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we should pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that are not expressed in words.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for sending us your Spirit to help us when we are weak. Lord, there are many times when I just do not know what to say; I don’t even know what I should ask for. Things come at me from different directions, and I don’t even know what I need to get through them. Do I need strength, or would it be better for patience? Should I ask for this just to pass, or should I work through this? Do I need healing or understanding? Do I need to be content and fix things or replace them? Too often, I feel I am telling you what I think you need to do for me. When I should just put the problem into your hands and ask that your Spirit pray on my behalf for what I need because right now, I don’t even know. Then guide me to make the right decision. So, Lord, I ask that according to your mercy and your promise you have given me here, send your Holy Spirit to intercede for me today. You know my every need; let me put them all in your hands because you know the best way to solve mine and my loved one’s problems. I lay them at your feet and ask that your will, will be done. Amen.

With our limited capacity to understand what is happening to us, remember our God, who loves us, has infinite capabilities, and is all-knowing.
