2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, because my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will be glad to boast all the more in my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may shelter me.
Dear Heavenly Father,
When plans go awry, frustration and irritability arise from a sense of helplessness. In moments when circumstances are beyond our control and we feel lost, we remember Your words to Paul: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” We are weak and seek refuge in You.
You promise to always be there for us, especially when we are at our lowest and facing all that life wants to throw at us. During those difficult times, You carry us through whatever challenges we encounter. The best part is that You care for us based on our needs for faith, rather than merely by what we request.
Lord, You demonstrated Your infinite grace through Your salvational plan; when Your Son came to remove our sins through His suffering and death on the cross, we were in the midst of our colossal weakness due to sin. Your grace was sufficient to cleanse us of every sin and restore our relationship with You.
Like Paul, we can take pride in our weaknesses, knowing that Christ’s power will protect us. It is amazing when an unbeliever observes Your hand at work in their life. When they hear and see Your word in action, faith is ignited, and they feel Your transformation in their hearts. Trusting in You, we have no reason to fear our weaknesses because Christ is protecting us.
Thank You for all the ways You will demonstrate today how Your strength is perfected in our weaknesses. We pray that Your grace becomes evident to others through us, leading more people to trust in You through Your Son. May He provide both them and us with His mighty protection. Amen.

When everything that confronts us makes us weak, remember that God’s power is even greater. He has already shown his strength through his plan for salvation: forgiving all your sins so that you are restored to him for eternity.
