Ephesians 2:19-22

So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household. You have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the Cornerstone. In him, the whole building is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him, you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for making us part of your family; through faith, you are our brother; we are now saints because of your grace and mercy. The prophets and apostles taught and wrote about the foundation of what we believe. The prophets all pointed to the promise of your coming, and the apostles recorded how you fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies. We are no longer alone, separated because of our sins, but you have restored us to the love of the Father and you. We are all brought together, united in peace because of the forgiveness of sins you paid for us, as well as the hope of eternal life because you defeated death. We are raised up with you. We ask that your Spirit live within us today and every day, and through each of us, we can share our hope of heaven with others. Lord, give us each an opportunity to spread the good news of what you have done for us. Amen.
