Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we should pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that are not expressed in words.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Is it an understatement to say there are times when I don’t know what I am doing? You know my heart, and those times I do not know what I should pray, you also know when I ask for the wrong things. I ask, “should I do this or that?” when I should just be asking to be content where I am at. Perhaps, with my family, so I pray for help or maybe forgiveness? However, I often don’t know what to ask because I don’t even know the problem’s source. Lord, I am so limited in my understanding of the world that I don’t have words at times to say what is on my mind or heart. Trouble seems to come at me that is entirely out of my control, and what I need is to turn this over to you. Jesus told his disciples he would send the Holy Spirit upon them, and in Paul’s letter, we hear that the Spirit is still interceding for us. Because Jesus died for us and forgave our sins, we are counted as part of your family through faith started by the Holy Spirit. So after your Spirit created our faith, he continues to live in us and knows all that is happening. The Spirit intercedes on my behalf before you with groans of request, petitions, and thanksgiving. Lord, thank you for sending the Spirit to be in me, that when I am lost for words, he has the perfect sounds. Amen.

What a blessing God has given us. That when we are lost for words, He has already heard our prayer.
