Luke 12:32
Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Jesus said these words as he spoke against worry. We can get wrapped up in different situations, things we see on the news, health scars, family matters, transportation issues, or even clothes and food. But Jesus told us not to worry and not be afraid because this life was more than food and clothes. All these concerns we have are genuine, but you assure us that you will be with us no matter what may come our way. When we have challenges that come our way, we know we have you, our God, who is far superior to our problems, instead of being afraid of those problems. You know our needs, and you have already taken care of them. Lord, you have taken care of an even more significant problem—sin. You sent Jesus to overcome sin, all the iniquities that we think, say, and do; and all the worries the world would throw at us. In faith, we turn to you and cast our cares on you. There is nothing that you have kept from us; your kingdom is ours. And as Jesus said, you were pleased to give it to us. Thank you for sending your Son to overcome sin, death, and the Devil that we now have peace, joy, and hope. Those are ours because of Christ’s work. He died on the cross for all our sins so that we have forgiveness of sins, salvation, and eternal life. Strengthen our faith so we can confidently place all our worries at your feet and allow you to take care of them for us. This promise is a great relief, not to worry. Please grant us opportunities to share our peace with someone who does not know you. Amen.

Jesus has instructed us to cast our cares and burdens on him. If he has told us to do this, he will care for them. Do not be afraid God’s kingdom is yours.
