Mark 10:13-16
Some people began bringing little children to Jesus so that he would touch them. But the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said, “Let the little children come to me! Do not hinder them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I tell you: Whoever will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the little children in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Bless us today; we are all your children! We pray that we will receive your word according to your direction—like little children so we can enter your kingdom. As we grow older with our wisdom and understanding, we can “what if” and overanalyze all our problems, trying to fix everything ourselves instead of bringing our cares to you. We pray that with our challenges in life, we would be like those little children that were brought to you, and as the people were bringing their little children to you, you blessed them. Bless us too. Keep us from being like the disciples trying to shoo ourselves away. You became frustrated with the disciples and had to correct them because it was essential for you to bless them. Lord, bless us too! Grant us faith that lays our problems at your feet and trusts entirely that you will answer our prayers according to your will and in your time. Lord Jesus, you have already demonstrated your love for us by taking all the world’s sins to the cross and offering that free, complete forgiveness to all who would receive it by faith—trusting that you have taken away our sins without condition. It is by faith that we are saved, not by works, so that no one can boast. Send your Spirit to strengthen our faith, so we know your unconditional love for us. Then let us share your love with others so we can bring those little ones to you, and you will bless them with your grace and mercy. Amen.

For all you adults that Jesus is not for you, what part don’t you like, God’s love or forgiveness? Let your inner child shine to trust this: in love for you, God sent Jesus, and Jesus died to forgive your sins, so through faith, you are restored and adopted into God’s kingdom as his children.
