Malachi 3: 6

“Certainly I, the Lord, do not change.”

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are thankful that you never change in this constantly changing world, bringing us peace and comfort. We are discontent with what we have and what we have been given, so we continuously look for something to fill the void our sins leave. We make serving ourselves the highest priority and what we want for today, and our desires change from one thing to the next; like the wind blowing leaves, our wants change. However, your love does not change. You sent your Son to take on the punishment for our sins and live the perfect life we could not live. Jesus willingly came here to carry out the salvational plan for us by loving you and others perfectly. He went to the cross, suffering for all our sins taking all that we have done into himself, so we are restored to you. Your love does not change. When we fall into the temptation of our desires, Jesus’ forgiveness is already there, and forgiveness is ours through faith; that does not change. Lord, be with us today to appreciate your changelessness and love for us as we go about our lives. If it would be your will, let us share this message of you not changing with someone who does not know you so that they will learn about you not changing. Amen.

God does not change, so the way to heaven does not change; you are saved by believing that Jesus is your Savior.
