Time for Grace-December 26, 2023

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people. It trains us to reject ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope, that is, the glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. He gave himself for us, to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are his own chosen people, eager to do good works.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this day, for the mercy and grace You have delivered to us; we rejoice in this new day full of Your love for us; as yesterday, we remembered that first Christmas, when You sent Your Son to bring salvation to all people. Your salvational plan was set in motion to restore us from all the sins that divide us from You.

By faith, we receive Your gifts of forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life; faith also creates in us new hearts that cause us to reject all the world’s desires that would pull us away from You. Send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen our faith by Your Word so that our desires are now to live in ways that are pleasing to You. While we wait for our Savior to come again, forgive us when we slip into our sins, and restore us again.

We thank You for our gift of Your Son, who has redeemed and brought us back from all our sins. We have been given eternal life and salvation instead of the condemnation that once was ours. We also thank You that through faith in Christ, we have been made Your adopted sons and daughters, heirs to Your heavenly home.

As Paul wrote to Titus and told him Your gift of salvation is for all people; please let us share this good news and promise with someone who does not know you. May Your Word work in their hearts so that they, too, will have faith, trusting in Jesus as their Savior, and have salvation delivered to them as a great and glorious gift. Amen.

God’s grace and mercy were sending His one and only Son to this world as an infant for the purpose of dying on the cross to save you of all your sins. So, by believing in Jesus, salvation and eternal life are a free gift to you.
