Psalm 34:1-3
I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth. In the Lord, my soul will boast. The humble will hear and rejoice. Proclaim the greatness of the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
There is nothing that we do before you in which we should brag. You remind us in Your Word that all our actions are but filthy rags—our sins taint everything we do.
Please humble us so we remember that no matter how great our efforts in this life’s journey are, we fall short of your glory. We get angry, retaliate at others, and let our pride cause problems in our relationships. Left on our own, we are rather loveless; our sins condemn us. You sent your Son to pay the price for our sins and redeem us.
Thank You for reminding us through Your word that everything—including our salvation—comes from You, and You bring it just at the right moment. So often, we forget to thank you for all the blessings you provide us, including our daily needs and, more importantly, how you care for our spiritual needs. Please accept our thanks today.
For Jesus’ sake—his life and death—should give us reason to continuously thank you, to shout our praise for you from the rooftops. Forgive us when we are ungrateful for what you have done and do not realize the immense payment Jesus made for our sins. Give us grateful hearts of love and the desire to share this with everyone we meet today. Amen.

May your heart overflow with joy from the Holy Spirit and give you the courage to tell someone else of Jesus’ love when you think of the enormous debt he paid on your behalf. Brag on what God has done for you.
