Psalm 34:18-19
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those whose spirits have been crushed. Many are the troubles of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being close to us when we are having bad days. When things are not going right, and problems come our way, it feels like we are out of control, spiraling from everything coming at us and being crushed under the pressure of our problems. You never promised that, as believers, all our problems would be eliminated; you told us that there would be many because we live in a sinful world that regularly challenges us.
However, you not only let us know the world would bring us our share of troubles; you also let us know you are with us to deliver us from all our difficulties. You gave us prayers, and those lines of communication are always open for us to share our challenges, trials, and troubles; you have promised to deliver us.
We can be confident because you have solved our most significant problem—sin. Your Son, Jesus, willingly came here to carry out your plan of salvation for us; Jesus lived a perfect life in our place, then suffered the punishment for our sins and died an innocent life so that we have eternal life, which comes to us by faith in Jesus. There, we receive your gift of salvation.
Thank you for delivering us from all our troubles; let us share your gift of salvation with those who do not know you so that they, too, will know your love and mercy even though they suffer from the world’s problems. Amen.

When your troubles seem tremendous, God is ready and waiting for you to bring them to him. No problem is too extensive for him to overcome; he even asks in his word to carry all your concerns to him because he cares for you. God loves you!
